Cthulhu figure based on HP Lovecraft's sketch (Blender)

3D model based on the HP Lovecraft story "The Call of Cthulhu" with the central figure based on Lovecraft's sketch which can be seen on Wikipedia here:

The initial version is the model only with simple lighting, just to see if the model worked in 3D. Second version was adding the candle and working out a better material for the figure. I wanted it to look like it was siting on the desk of the main character, slowly driving him insane! After a little tweaking, I found that I liked the warmer colours, and added dust to the model (not too much though).

The models are all my own, created in blender. Rendered using the Cycles rendering engine, and touched up in Photoshop.
